Yes, prioritise dps and health but you can't actually forget electronics beyond the base stat (which comes from your level) because all the skills are bad when not boosted beyond that base level. I'll also say that, even when levelling, you must make sure to keep at least one item of gear contributing to electronics. There is the healing boost that can effectively give you a temporary 4th health-block due to overheal and two different talents for cover (be they stability or +dmg but demanding you use the cover to cover heavily to proc it) that I'd take over those. Personally, I don't think Stopping Power procs enough to be of much value (even with a turret - it seems designed for group play where you have a DMR and someone else is using a LMG) and On The Move is worthless for a build that uses cover (ie only worthwhile if you go with that SMG).

Maybe I'll move to an SMG but so far I've been happy with the high dps of some of the assault weapons with extended clips and other customisations for damage. I'm not an SMG girl, give me an assault rifle tuned to maximise stopping power when someone is too close for my DMR or I'm reloading and the situation is immediate. The cool thing being that everything is only gated by unlocks and maximum slots - you're never going to make a decision that locks you out of respec'ing into a different style Hell, you can swap out as you go from fight to fight (the only cost in no pause so you have to be somewhere safe as you manually apply any swaps - my guess is no UI will appear to automate this to avoid people exploiting it to make the game about "stances" by flipping from a dmg built to health when under fire and so on).Īnyway, as a jumping off point, here's an interesting build video for solo players who want to be able to (somewhat - depending on gear) trivialise even Hard missions all the way up to lvl 30 (and maybe survive DZ solo play - I know that's where I've been theorycrafting to maximise my fun):

So the game has been out for some days and friends are already hitting the level cap (and reviews started to appear on metacritic yesterday so even the people not racing for getting to 30 first and doing the end-game are getting to the point where finalising a spec is a discussion), plus spec while levelling is also important.
